I think Microsoft hyped up their products too much. Also there isn't much differences coming from the 360 that you can't possibly do with the original xbox. If you don't believe me about this hype crap. Look at Mass Effect, for them to start calling it a "revolution to RPGs" is bullshit. I mean the only great RPG out there is Legend of Zelda, and the Elder Scroll Series. No way in hell you can call a new product the next gen blah blah in RPG! If anyone here got the newest EGM magazine, you can tell that Microsoft payed them off well to put Halo 3 (yes i know it's a STUPID fps) on 16 PAGES!! Thats right, 16 pages where the editors of EGM won't shut up about playing HALO3. I mean the graphics isn't different that what Halo 2. Also the gameplay (from reading the article) doesn't seem to move or be revolutionary like what we all imagine a next gen shooter can do.

I mean, i own a xbox but for them to kill the system after 2 years to make a Xbox360 is a slap to everyone who put their faith into Microsoft. Oh, if you want to know something. It's confirmed that Microsoft want to get started again on building another Next-Gen console in about 2 to 3 years to compete with Xbox360. Therefore, it isn't even worth calling xbox360 a true next gen system. When all it does is a money sink for those who are guilible to believe them in the first place.

personally i have a Wii and wouldn't get either an xbox 360 or a ps3. if i HAD to get one i would get the xbox 360 purely because its cheaper.

also, i doubt the ps3 will be lowering in price. they already lose about a thousand dollars per console anyway.

I'm still stuck on PC Games, but I own a 360, and....it'll be hard to top Gear of War.

On another note......my roomate just purchased a Playstation 3 Friday morning, he waited outside overnight at our local Futureshop. $549.99 Canadian......current bid on Ebay is $4680 and change.

Hell of a profit for taking a night off work.

Im not getting either, beacuse i prefer PC games nowadays - but If i was getting one, i would get the PS3, beacuse i always liked playstation more when i was into consoles.

If i do upgrade i will probably get an XBox 360 now. I remembered that PS3 does NOT have backward compatibilty. HUGE turnoff for me due to the selection of PS2 games i currently own. I dont want to have to go out and buy the same games for my PS3 that i have for my PS2. Just a huge turn off. So i think im going to get an XBox... Halo 2 ftw!

And Gears of War. My gosh that game is AMAZING! Pissed that my friends XBox died on him though... he was on the last level...

pwnd, PS3 can played PS2 and even PS1 games. The problems that it has is with the song quality on certain games not all of them. I'm getting a PS3 if its the last thing i do!

ID choose a Wii If that was one of the choses because it looks so damn fun to play,but between PS3 and Xbox360 Id get a 360 cuz I don't have 600 dollars(us) to spare not to mention the controller AND a game or two.

But, skull, where did you get the idea that PS3's are backwards compatible? They have entirely different drives and encoding systems, and did you forget that the ps3 runs that creepy 9-core processor that pissed game makers off so much? Sources please?

As I said, just emptied my bank account on a new rig, so I completely agree with you on that one..

well i dont see it as lying rly. as of right now, most ps1 and ps2 games can be played on the ps3, its just some are having some minor glitches. see this article from ign:

some games are having audio issues, but its rly a small amount compared to the number of titles out there. and true, some games might not be able to be played on the ps3, but thats to be expected, if you remember the newer slim ps2 dont play some older ps2 titles either. plus look for software updates to fix some of these issues down the line.

look at it like this, would you rather have 1 out of 50 games not able to be played, or 1 out of 50 games that can be played? ill take whatever they give us.

And remember that you are a gamer and u would care less in what console u playing with or if don’t want to buy 3 consoles then Upgrade your PC I am sure it will cost more than the PS3-360-Wii all together.
